Celebrities support The Drive Project campaign

31 10 2017

Personalities including Dame Joanna Lumley, Clare Balding, Larry Lamb, Hugh Bonneville, Ray Winstone and Michelle Collins have teamed up with The Drive Project to star in three short films alongside veterans and business leaders, to help raise awareness of its Veterans Work campaign.

The new campaign aims to help change people's perception of the word veteran, and to highlight the 'value and transferable' skills veterans can bring to employers. Lumley commented 'I think that people who've served our country - whether land, sea or air, deserve the greatest protection and affection and support that we can possibly give them. The idea that they leave service and then find themselves cut off at a loose end. These are the people you want, they know everything! They can do everything, they're punctual, they're used to hard work, they take responsibility - they are just the people you need'.
